Procedures

Different Permanent Cosmetic applications and Non-Surgical Blepharoplasty procedures have been applied extensively to non-medical and medical clients in the beauty industry.

A Permanent Cosmetic procedure is also known as a Cosmetic Tattoo, Permanent Makeup, or Micropigmentation. Some  media and press releases refer to cosmetic tattooing as “Semi-Permanent Makeup” which is not correct and not supported by the cosmetic tattooing industry.

Permanent Cosmetics is designed for anyone who wants more fullness of the eyebrows, eyeliners, lips, hair, and breast or who suffer from Alopecia and wish to have a more natural look. You can save countless hours formerly spent struggling to draw evenly and to apply cosmetics to your skin. It saves you money because you no longer have to buy expensive cosmetics that rub off, smear, smudge and disappear after hours. In addition, it saves you the embarrassment of smeared, smudged eyeliners and brows so common with mascara and pencils or powders, or for people allergic to conventional makeup.

At Beauty Plus Academy we often use the term Permanent Makeup to refer to Permanent Cosmetic, Micropigmentation, or Cosmetic Tattoo to different procedures.

Some major factors may cause fading, color change or lack of color, and the length of time color appears in the skin such as: skin variations, sun fading, improper application, faulty equipment, or poor quality of pigments.

Beauty Plus Academy ensures the longevity of Permanent Makeup Eyebrows, Permanent Makeup Eyeliners, Permanent Makeup Eyelash Enhancement, Permanent Makeup Lipliners, Permanent Makeup Full Lip Color, Scalp Micropigmentation, Hair Follicle Simulation, and Hair Follicle Simulation with proper application using high technology machines, and quality products.

Proper Application

Our certified and experienced technicians, who have superior initial and ongoing education, understand the basics of biology and know how to apply pigment in the upper dermal layer of the skin, known as the dermis. These knowledgeable professional technicians will properly implant pigment into the dermis by passing the needle and pigment through the epidermal layer of skin. Immediately after completing your treatment, the color will appear darker than the final result. This is because the pigment color is in both the epidermis and the dermis. The epidermis, outermost layer of skin, is always shedding and renewing itself. During the healing process, about two weeks, the color on the epidermis will flake off lightening the overall effect. Most clients lose approximately 1/3 of the color after healing.

An inexperienced technician places pigment incorrectly only in the epidermal layer of the skin, known as epidermis. The epidermal layer of the skin is comprised of skin cells, which are dead or dying awaiting new skin cells to take their place. Approximately 15-25% of the pigment is trapped within the epidermis and subsequently sheds as the dead skin cells in the natural process of cellular renewal carry it away. When a technician has not properly reached the dermis, the result is that most or all of pigment was implanted and trapped in the epidermis will be lost.

The Consultation

Our goal is to create a natural, flattering look for both our clients who desire something very delicate and those who want a more pronounced look. Each person has different facial features, structure, and skin tone, which all influence the treatment in different ways.

Consultation is a two-way process. First, we listen. You tell us the shape and the color that you want. We analyze your natural attributes. Second, as educated and experienced visionary artists, we recommend the treatments and color that will give you the most natural, flattering look. We will suggest the appropriate techniques from 3D strokes to powder effect, shading, fill-in or other technique that ultimate fits you.

Third, our technicians will discuss in detail the look that you are trying to achieve and our recommendations to make sure they are in harmony before we proceed.

Finally, once we agree on the design, we draw the eyebrow, hair, or lip contour; together we choose a color; then, we get your approval before starting the treatment.

The Treament & Retouch

Some of our clients come to us with increased anxiety levels as their treatment day approaches. We will always do our best to calm your fears and give you peace of mind knowing that BPA’s certified professional technicians will provide gentle care and the desired result.

Our technicians are trained and certified by accredited training centers. They are experienced technicians, who have superior initial and ongoing education, understand the basics of biology and know how to apply pigment in the upper dermal layer of the skin, known as the dermis. They have the skills and experience to perform the permanent make up procedures effectively and efficiently.

Topical anesthetic creams, that were developed especially for permanent makeup procedures, are applied to the desired area before and during the procedure to assure the most comfortable experience possible.

We use the latest technology permanent makeup device or machine that provides consistency. You get excellent results in less time with reduced skin irritation. Our machines are digitally controlled for accurate speed with 15 different needle combinations. They are made by one of Europe’s leading manufacturers and are praised for their safety features and smooth operation. Equipped with high precision drive, our devices offer the quietest operation in the industry. All handpieces meet international safety standards. The technician will start the procedure base on the draw and color which was approved in the the consultation process.

Immediately after completing you’re a treatment, the color will appear darker than the final result. We recommend that you apply ice on and off at 15 minutes intervals during the first 24 hours to reduce swelling and hold color.

Because of factors out of your control such as genetics, everybody heals differently. After treatment, some parts of your skin may not hold the pigments as well as others. We advise that you return to our studio for a re-touch between 4 and 12 weeks after your initial treatment.
